Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-22
These terms are the agreement between you and Davide Turrini (Località Mandolara 1, 37060 Sona (VR), Italy, VAT IT04808820239; "we") for the use of pcbmate, a service to design printed circuit boards in the browser. By creating an account you accept them.
1. The service
pcbmate lets you draw schematics, lay out boards, use libraries, run autorouting and simulation, use an AI assistant with your own Anthropic API key, and export manufacturing files. Features and limits depend on your plan, as shown on the pricing page and in the app.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or have your parents' consent where the law allows it. Keep your password safe: you are responsible for what is done with your account. An organization's owners and admins manage its members and its plan.
3. Plans, prices and payment
The Free plan costs nothing. Maker and Team are subscriptions, monthly or yearly, paid in advance through Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay and include VAT where it applies. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel them; you can cancel at any time in the app, and the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid. When you change plan, Stripe adjusts the amount for the rest of the period. We may change prices for the next periods, telling you at least 30 days in advance; you can cancel before the change applies.
4. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have 14 days from the purchase to withdraw without giving a reason. When you start a paid plan you ask us to provide the service at once: if you withdraw, we refund the amount paid minus the part of the period already used. Write to dt.turrini@gmail.com.
5. Your content
Your projects, libraries and files remain yours. You give us only the permission needed to store, process and show them to provide the service (including sending them to the AI provider when you use the AI features). You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, for example datasheets and libraries.
6. The AI features
AI features work with an Anthropic API key, yours or your organization's: Anthropic bills its use to the key's owner, under its own terms. AI answers and proposals can be wrong: check them, and the designs you make, before manufacturing a board.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use pcbmate to break the law, to infringe others' rights, to attack or overload the service or other systems, to get around plan limits, or to resell the service without our agreement.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep pcbmate available and your data safe, with daily backups, but we cannot promise an uninterrupted service. We may change or improve features; if a change takes away something important that you pay for, you can cancel and get back the unused part of the period.
9. Liability
pcbmate is a design tool: you are responsible for checking your designs before having them manufactured. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses (such as lost profits or the cost of boards made from a faulty design), and our liability is limited to the amounts you paid in the 12 months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights of consumers under the law.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using pcbmate and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaks these terms, telling you why. You can export your projects before the account is closed.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; we tell you at least 30 days before important changes apply. If you do not accept them, you can cancel before they apply.
12. Law and courts
These terms are governed by Italian law. For consumers, the competent court is that of their place of residence, and the protection of the law of their country of residence remains. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
